Introduction

Ni Hao!
So basically, the main reason behind this was to create a simple one stop destination of updates on the experiences and sites I will be seeing in Beijing.
Why Beijing?
I'm basically going to Beijing to teach English as a TESOL teacher.
TESOL being Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
I was at a cross road last year, studying Product Design Engineering and absolutely hating my choice of studies. Pulling out, I worked Part-Time for 3 months and absolutely loathed that I had no qualification. I didn't want to start 09 with no ambitions of any academic aspects in mind.
So on a whim, I booked a ticket to Beijing and it all started from there.

I've always had the travel bug in me since I visited Japan and in the back of my mind I've always thought that I'd make a good teacher. I love explaining things to people and teaching them new ideas and creating possibilities for them they've never thought they'd be able to achieve. Being a teacher to me grants a chance to give knowledge to people so that they can have a fair chance at life.
All in all, I NEED to do this.
Main reason for going to China was that, China alone need 10,000 native English speakers with TESOL qualifications to teach the People of China English. As English is the international language of business, it's is extremely important to not only china, but other countries that don't use English as a national language to learn English.
China will be the backbone and the beginning of my TESOL teaching experiences.

So, this blog will show my struggles and triumphs.
I'm going to be alone in a foreign culture, but I really can't wait.
As of March 30th, this blog will soon be full of entries that entail my experiences.
Make sure you follow!
